During the development of the MelGeek MADE68 AIR low-profile HE keyboard, we collaborated closely with professional Valorant teams, including players from DRG and FPX, to refine its design and functionality. Through extensive testing of mainstream low-profile magnetic switches on the market, we identified challenges in achieving a true zero-dead-zone experience and 0.01mm rapid trigger precision.

The TTC KOM MINI low-profile magnetic switch, which features an off-center magnetic sensor (commonly referred to as an "eccentric switch"), requires a dead-zone buffer at the base to maintain precision. This design ensures unparalleled accuracy without compromising stability.

The MADE68 AIR's low-profile design significantly shortens the overall key travel, effectively reducing the "latency" often associated with standard-height keyboards. Players praised its faster bottom-out and rebound times, noting the reduced effort required during both practice sessions and official matches. The result is a keyboard that delivers precision, stability, and efficiency—perfectly suited for competitive gaming.

Compared to other low-profile switches on the market, the TTC switches co-developed with MelGeek feature one of the smallest dead-zone protections available. Typically, due to structural limitations, eccentric switches require at least 0.05mm of dead-zone protection. However, through proprietary algorithms and optimized signal recognition technology, MelGeek has significantly reduced this threshold.

It’s worth noting that dead zones are essential for normal usage. Many leading brands incorporate subtle protective measures to prevent accidental key presses caused by minor physical interference. While preferences and use cases vary among users, the best products are those that genuinely meet users' needs, and the best brands are those that provide tailored solutions.

At MelGeek, our "user-first" philosophy has always been at the core of what we do. Thank you for reading and supporting us on this journey.
